EGT Gauge

“EGT” stands for exhaust gas temperature, and is a crucial indication of your engines stability under more taxing conditions like hill climbs and extended highway usage. We suggest EGT gauge installs on all turbo-diesel motors.

Cost is $800 parts and labor, and includes an ERG system delete. Please take a moment to read this article on why it is important to monitor your EGTs on a turbo diesel engine: https://official.bankspower.com/tech_article/why-egt-is-important/

Stereo

Most vans come over from Japan with dated aftermarket navigation stereo units, incompatible with American frequencies. Luckily, most can accept the modern standard double DIN stereo head units, allowing for bluetooth, touch screen, and backup cameras. Our go-to stereo is a Sony XAV-AV5500 with Apple CarPlay.

Parts and labor for a stereo install is $800. Parts and labor to add a backup camera is $350.

8’ x 8’ ARB AWNING

A must-have for your camper build, we offer 8’x8’ ARB awnings. The awning bolts onto your Pluto Roof Rack, and comes with a built in LED light strip.

Cost is $650 parts and labor.

Wooden Steering Wheel

A nice JDM touch, adding a bit of vintage flare, and relief from the classic "death grip" some of us get on long road trips.

Cost is $250 parts and labor.

Auxiliary Battery

For our customers looking to use their van as a camper / sleeper, an auxiliary battery system is necessary for supplying power to your camper components (diesel parking heater, roof vent van, or 12v refrigerator) while the van is parked. This battery system is isolated from the main battery, and can be used freely without risk of draining your engine starting power. It also features plug-n-play solar charging capabilities.

Our auxiliary battery system includes a 200 amp hour AGM battery, RedArc 40a automatic charge manager (DC to DC charging, plug-n-play solar, battery isolation), shore power charger, 70a main fuses, 12-spot circuit panel (for your components), Victron bluetooth battery monitoring, bus bars, and all the cable and eyelets necessary to properly integrate the system. Cost is $2,400 parts and labor. Substitute in a 200ah LITHIUM battery for an additional $700. Add a 1,000 watt 12v to 110v pure sine wave inverter for $400. Solar panels can be added for an additional cost, and will be quoted based on the users needs.

Roof Vent Fan

Given your van’s roof has the space to install it, powered roof vent fans add extra air circulation and temperature control in both hot and cool weather.

Labor for a vent fan install is $500. Cost of the vent and installation materials will be separate, and generally run an additional $250 to $550.

Note: These roof vents cannot be installed on a Hiace Super Custom with factory sunroofs.

ENGINE TEMP GAUGE & ALARM

This aftermarket engine temperature gauge provides a more precise reading of your engines temperature during taxing conditions. The gauge doubles as an alarm, and will alert you if your temperature spikes, allowing you precious extra moments to save your engine in the event of a cooling system leak or failure. We suggest adding this gauge in addition to the EGT gauge to provide a full spectrum of engine performance monitoring.

Cost is $250 parts and labor.

Parking Heater

If you are looking to use your van as a 3 or 4 season camper, a diesel-fueled parking heater is an excellent option to keep you warm in freezing temperatures. Heat is generated through the use of fuel from the vans existing diesel tank, yet does not produce fumes or consume oxygen in the cabin. The heater is bolted through the floor, so all combustion gasses exit underneath the vehicle, keeping the air you breathe clean and safe. These parking heaters are incredibly efficient, consuming less than 1/2 a gallon of fuel on a cold night. Please note an auxiliary battery system is required to power the fan system in the heater.

We only install German made Webasto heaters, running $1,100 for parts and $600 for installation labor.
