1991 Toyota Space Cabin /// 4wd Diesel pop-top camper
How does a 4wd Toyota pop-top diesel camper that gets 22+ miles per gallon sound to you? Impossible you might have thought, until you saw this beast. I call it the Space Cabin.
The inside has a booth table setup that converts to a bed the width of the rig, and a small kitchen with sink and fridge. No built-in stove, but a Comeman fits perfectly on the counter. It also has a pop top, with sleeping for 2 more up there, and a solar panel on the roof.
The vans is actually a Town Ace 4wd truck chassis, but yes it looks exactly like a Lite Ace up front. It's 5-speed manual column shift, 4wd high and low range, and equipped with the 2ct turbo diesel motor. AC is fully functional.
The camper interior is in great shape, and is equipped with a clean water and grey water tank. There is a trap door beneath the kitchen to keep a small porta-potty if you decide to have one, and can also be used as a showering area as the compartment has a drain.
The timing belt has just been replaced, and the van has received a maintenance update, replacing all fluids and filters. I also just installed 5 new all terrain tires, and a 1.5" suspension lift for added clearance.
