1990 TOYOTA HiAce Super GL 4wd Fire Van
Unique amongst the other fire trucks we've rebuilt, this long wheelbase Hiace is built on the LH119 van chassis, sporting 4wd high and low range, and manual 5-speed transmission. This Hiace features Toyota's 3L 2.8 liter naturally aspirated diesel engine, renown for its longevity and stability. The van has just under 25,000 original miles.
Much love went into making this van 'road-trip-ready'. Consistent with all the vans we sell, she has received a full timing belt job and maintenance update: all new coolant hoses, all new fuel lines, new timing belt, new idler and tensioner pulleys, new camshaft and crankshaft seal, new water pump, new thermostat, new radiator cap, coolant flush, transmission fluid, fresh motor oil and filter, all new drive belts, new fuel filter, new air filter, fresh differential oil. On top of all that, she has brand new BFG KO2 all-terrain tires, steering alignment, and a small suspension lift. Many other minor repairs and upgrades were made during the inspection and testing process, including rebuilding the diesel injection pump, and adjusting the valve clearances.
